I Just Couldn’t Tell You

I just found the music to this song. We had it on a CD, not on anyone’s computer. My daughter Sophie provides the lovely vocals. I hadn’t listened to it for years and gratifyingly found I liked it a lot. It’s very light, floating along, but really sad lyrics. I particularly like the lyrics in verse 3. Quite why or what made me write those words I cannot remember, but I do remember writing verse 3 in Spain, probably twenty odd years ago, happy that it completed the song. Also like the instrumental break with the melody played on a keyboard’s glockenspiel sound, I think.
