Enjoy Good Loving

We wrote this years ago–one of my personal favourites, mainly because of the lyrics, which were written before the music. Most of my friends and family not so keen- “a bit boring”. Basically a made up story of a summer love, based in Spain. With time I’ve realised we should have spent more time on the music–more variation, improve melody, lengthen the choruses.  Perhaps we should do a rewrite but we’ve spent so much time on it already, especially the middle instrumental section, it’s hard to face. My fault. I was so obsessed to rush it out because of the lyrics. Mostly now I write the lyrics at the same time as the music or just after the music. The rhythm of pre-written lyrics dictates the melody, not always in a good way.
