I wanted to write about Ayamonte in SW Spain, a town I’ve got to know and love- so the “white walls,narrow streets” and “kite surfers colours dotting the sky” are all real, so are the lines about Seville, the rest I made up. The words “Criss Cross Girl” are a bit odd, came up with them to fit the music, thinking I would change them later, but decided to leave them as they sort of describe the type of person who behaves in a criss cross manner–impulsive, changing, infuriating.
