Here Comes The Monkey

Tim began to write a children’s book about his imaginary childhood friend, Monkey. Naturally enough he reckoned it would need a theme tune when it got on TV ! So why not write one with Robin. A big selection of vocalists-Amelia recording the first vocal track, then Tim’ granddaughters (Anaya aged 7, Abigail aged 5) added the first and last sections, with their Mum, Sophie (aged 35, Tim’s daughter) adding her vocal sections. Tim’s other daughter Amy (aged 37) provided the illustration.

Great fun to write and record in a very different genre. Paul McCartney gets criticised to this day for daring to write “All Stand Together-Frog’s chorus” which I’ve always though grossly unfair. He wasn’t trying to write a rock song !
